myfans: Payment methods and how to fix payment errors
Guides・2026-09-30
This guide reflects myfans' official help center as checked on 2026-09-30. Specifications may change, so please check the official site for the latest information.
myfans supports five payment methods: credit card (VISA, Mastercard, JCB), BitCash, Paidy (あと払い/pay-later), atone next-month payment, and 後払い (deferred payment via convenience store or bank ATM). Only credit card and Paidy work everywhere. If your card suddenly stops working, the official guidance is to switch to a different payment method. Even if a plan renewal payment fails, you can restore it by paying again within 14 days.
Which payment methods you can use depends on what you're buying
Credit cards work for every type of sale. Debit and prepaid cards are also supported, though they may not go through depending on the card's status. Paidy works for plans, individual sales, tips, and super comments. BitCash, atone next-month payment, and 後払い all cover plans, individual sales, and myfans Premium membership, but not tips or super comments. DM-only sales accept all five methods.
Paidy, atone, and 後払い are only available to people who can receive SMS at a Japanese phone number, and the billing emails for atone and 後払い come not from myfans but from each respective company — worth checking your spam folder for. BitCash doesn't qualify for a creator plan's first-month discount, and even with card payment, plans above a certain price are excluded from the first-month discount.
At purchase, a processing fee is added on top of the listed price. If you pay in a foreign currency, the exchange rate is set by your card company, and an overseas transaction fee may also apply.
Which card is used at renewal, and how to check your billing
As a rule, plan renewals use the card you originally joined with — not necessarily the one set as your default, which is easy to overlook. If you've deleted the card you joined with, your default card is used instead. The timing of the actual charge depends on your card company.
You can check what you paid and how much under "購入履歴" (Purchase history) in your account. It shows the item type, creator name, amount paid, purchase date (including auto-renewals), payment method, and the last 4 digits of your card. You can also filter the list.
When you see "ご利用可能なカードが登録されていません" (No usable card is registered)
Even a card that works elsewhere can trigger this message on myfans. The official help center notes this may happen because a payment processor has stopped accepting certain cards for reasons on their end. Which cards work is up to the payment processor, and myfans says it can't provide an answer on this. The fix is to switch to a different payment method — waiting it out won't fix it.
If you hit your renewal date in this state, the plan's auto-renewal fails and it gets canceled. You'll then receive an email titled "プランの更新に失敗しました" (Your plan renewal failed).
When a plan renewal payment fails
When a card-paid plan (including bundles) fails to renew, the "決済失敗中" (Payment failed) status appears on your subscribed-plans screen, and you can only watch sample videos. If you change your payment method within 14 days of the failure, you can pay again and viewing access is restored. After 14 days, the plan is automatically canceled. Paidy, atone, and BitCash are not eligible for this repayment.
Here's how to pay again — it's three steps:
- Open "加入中のプラン" (Active plans) from "アカウント" (Account)
- Select "今すぐ決済情報を更新" (Update payment info now), then tap "決済方法を更新する" (Update payment method)
- Add a payment method and tap "お支払いを完了する" (Complete payment)
You can do the same thing from the "決済を更新して視聴する" (Update payment and watch) button that appears on a paid post's screen.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pay for tips with BitCash?
No. BitCash, atone next-month payment, and 後払い can't be used for tips or super comments — use a card or Paidy for those.
Why can't I view a post I already paid for?
The official help center lists several possible causes: the post was deleted, it's not covered by your current plan, its publication period has expired, or the orientation setting is "全年齢" (all ages). Posts bought individually can be opened from "購入済みの投稿" (Purchased posts) on the home screen.
Does a failed renewal payment mean immediate cancellation?
For card-paid plans, you can keep it active by changing your payment method and paying again within 14 days of the failure. After 14 days, it's automatically canceled.
