myfans: The difference between canceling a plan and closing your account

Guides・2026-09-30

This guide reflects myfans' official help center as checked on 2026-09-30. Specifications may change, so please check the official site for the latest information.

To stop auto-renewal, cancel the plan by the day before the renewal date. Plan posts become unviewable the moment you cancel, and there's no refund for the remaining days. Closing your account (deleting it) is a separate procedure, and you can't close your account while you still have an active plan or myfans Premium membership — cancellation has to come first.

How and when to stop auto-renewal

A plan auto-renews on the same date the following month from when you joined. Stopping it requires manually canceling, and the deadline is the day before that same date one month later. The official help center states that no refund is given even if canceling on the renewal date itself causes trouble, and if the following month has fewer days (e.g., 30 instead of 31), the renewal date moves up to the 30th — so month-end dates need extra attention. You can check your next renewal date under "加入中のプラン" (Active plans) from "アカウント" (Account) — check there first.

Here's how to cancel:

  1. Open "加入中のプラン" (Active plans) from "アカウント" (Account)
  2. Tap "・・・" in the top right of the plan you want to cancel, then select "このプランを解約する" (Cancel this plan)
  3. Choose a reason for canceling, check the confirmation items, and tap "解約する" (Cancel)

Starting August 2026, a screen showing how many days you've been subscribed and recommending other plans appears before the cancellation process — it's fine to proceed with canceling from there.

What remains viewable after canceling, and what doesn't

Monthly plans act fast: posts tied to the plan become unviewable from the day you cancel. The same applies to past posts unlocked through continuation perks and those bought via "過去投稿開放" (unlock past posts). The unlimited-viewing channel also makes its eligible posts unviewable the moment you cancel. If you rejoin, you'll be charged again.

Some things do remain, though. Posts you bought individually, monthly back-number purchases, and gacha wins are all one-time purchases, so canceling a plan doesn't affect them.

Bundles remain viewable until the contract period ends

For 3-, 6-, and 12-month bundles canceled on or after 19:10 on November 14, 2025, posts stay viewable until the contract period ends. Even after applying to cancel, you can keep the contract going within that period by using "解約を取り消す" (Cancel the cancellation). This cancel-the-cancellation option is available only for bundles. Even once cancellation is complete, you can't close your account until the bundle's contract period ends.

Closing your account is a separate procedure from canceling a plan

To close your account, log in, go to the dedicated page, enter a reason and other details, and finish there. No confirmation email is sent — the on-screen completion message is your signal that the process is done, so check for it before closing the page. Credit card information tied to a closed account is deleted.

There are conditions for closing your account. You can't even start the process while you have an active plan with any creator or an active myfans Premium membership — you need to cancel each of those first, then go to the account-closing page. Premium membership and a creator's plan are canceled separately, so canceling one leaves the other active. The unlimited-viewing channel is also canceled individually, from "見放題ch" (Unlimited channel) under "購入・保存" (Purchases & saved).

Frequently asked questions

If I cancel, can I still watch for the remaining period?

Monthly plans become unviewable from the day you cancel, with no prorated refund. Bundles remain viewable until the contract period ends.

Does closing my account cancel all my plans?

No — you can't even start the account-closing process while you have active plans or myfans Premium membership, so you need to cancel those first.

What if I want to switch to a more expensive plan?

There's no switch-over feature. If you join a different plan without canceling your current one, you'll be charged for both.
