さもあり監督 | Two Best Friends and Rivals Who Say "Maybe We Don't Need Guys Anymore..."

"Maybe we don't need guys anymore..." It is a line in the sample's subtitles, in the hotel bedroom scene. The speech bubble on the thumbnail also reads "Maybe we don't need guys anymore (lol)." The September 4 episode of さもあり監督 is a collaboration with 真咲南朋, "the once-in-a-generation seductress director." The leads are 夏川えみり and 南星聖来, best friends who are also each other's greatest rival. The caption says it films the two in "an 'ultimate love' for just the two of them."

At 123 minutes, it is the longest of the latest 5 (June 26 to September 18). Among the 14 popular videos it is second only to the 129-minute "さもあり×るるたん," and these two are the only ones that run past 2 hours.

I wrote this from the caption, the thumbnail, the subtitles of the 1 minute 16 second free sample, and the comments (2 that I could read). I have not watched the main video.

What's Good About This Video

① The relationship of two who have been "competing with each other, supporting each other"

The first half of the sample is used for introducing the two, not for a bed scene. A subtitle names "聖来-chan, aiming for No. 1" in the "City Heaven General Election," and goes on with "えみり-chan's resolve opened a new door!" Over the two laughing together on a red bridge in a garden at night, it reads "Competing with each other, supporting each other." Over a photo of them side by side in Santa and bunny costumes, it reads "Always chasing first place." and "But No. 1 was right beside me." Up to here it is a story about friendship, and the subtitles explain the caption's "best friends" and "rivals."

② A setup where "the legendary director teaches the ABCs of woman-to-woman"

A subtitle announces the setup, "The legendary director drills the ABCs of woman-to-woman sex into the best-friend duo!" and the text "A lesbian showdown breaks out!?" appears on screen. The thumbnail sets the two directors side by side: "the exceptional seductress director 真咲南朋 VS さもあり." The audio also includes an exchange that checks whether the two had been rivals and asks how it came to a woman-to-woman development. It is a setup in which two best friends and rivals are asked why they are moving on to each other. Among the 17 episodes whose captions I could read, this is the only one that contains the word "レズ" (lesbian).

③ From "Being just good friends isn't where it ends." to a hotel for just the two of them

At 0:36 a subtitle reads "Being just good friends isn't where it ends," and the scene changes to a hotel bedroom. The subtitles go on with "Sometimes slow, sometimes passionate," "Maybe we don't need guys anymore..." and "Whose fault is this feeling?" which echo the thumbnail's speech bubble. In the second half there is a scene of them embracing on a sofa in a room with pink lighting, and it ends on "If it's the two of us, everything comes true." From an introduction of their friendship to a scene of just the two of them. The sample is built to show that switch.

What Kind of Video It Is

According to the caption, this is a collaboration in which "the once-in-a-generation seductress director" 真咲南朋 "finally unlocks doujin lesbian content." 夏川えみり and 南星聖来 are two who are best friends and also each other's greatest rival. The caption says it shoots the two's "'ultimate love' for just the two of them, head-on and wildly," and the thumbnail lines up "夏川えみり & 南星聖来 SP Lesbian!"

The sample shows the background. After showing their relationship in a night pool, a garden and a meal, it moves to the hotel bedroom. The subtitle "A secret record of the two of them you can't see on social media ♡" is how the episode positions itself. The caption says nothing about the flow of the 123 minutes, so the climax can only be read from the bedroom and pink-room scenes near the end of the sample.

What the Free Sample Shows

The 1 minute 16 second sample is a trailer with subtitles. The first half introduces the two, the hotel bedroom starts at 0:36, and the end is a scene with drinks and a sofa in a pink-lit room, so you can judge their smiles, how their relationship is shown, the mood of the bedroom, and the picture quality. Going by frames taken every 3 seconds, only women appear, and there is no blur on their faces. Mosaic covers the genital areas. A woman in a black dress appears at 0:09, but there is no name subtitle, so the sample cannot confirm whether 真咲南朋 herself appears on screen. The contents of the 123 minutes are not in the sample either.

What the Comments Say

There are 3 comments (as of October 3). I could read 2, both short posts written between early September and the beginning of mid-September. One is "The best pair." Among the comments I could read, there are no questions, no negative voices and no replies from the poster.

What to Know Before You Buy

It runs 123 minutes and was published on September 4. The caption has no price or discount, and no notice of a limited-time offer or the end of publication is attached. Check on the post page whether it can be watched under a plan.

There are two points that depend on the viewer. One is that it is not for people expecting scenes with a man. Only women appear in the sample, and the caption also says "just the two of them." The other is that the response has not grown in proportion to the length. Its 845 likes are 2.6% of plays, second from the bottom among the 14 popular videos, and below the median (3.9%). Since it runs past 2 hours, it suits a night when you can settle in to watch.

Who This Is For

• People who want to see scenes between women
• People who like a story of two "best friends and rivals" closing the distance between them
• People who want to settle in and watch something that runs past 2 hours

It is not for people looking for an episode with a man in it. If you want to finish in about an hour, the 52-minute すいま episode is more manageable. For an article lining up the recent episodes, see the roundup of the latest five.
